The Port Arthur penal settlement began life as a small timber station in 1830. Originally designed as a replacement for the recently closed timber camp at Birches Bay, Port Arthur quickly grew in importance within the penal system of the colonies. This plan is arguably the pick of the limited registered series of plans of the Penal Colony. The detail (and colour) relating to the buidings is superb. There are references to Constables Stations, signal stations and this plan is a must for anyone who has ever visited the Port Arthur Historic site.
Reproductions are inkjet printed on high quality paper using colour-fast UV tolerant inks. These plans and charts are suitable for laminating or framing.
Please note that historic charts and plans are printed on demand as orders are received. As such there can be an additional 2-3 day delay over and above standard delivery times.
